Go long—take more. Maurten Gel 160 is a bigger option built on Maurten’s patented Hydrogel Technology, encapsulating 40g of carbohydrates per serving in a 0.8:1 ratio of fructose and glucose. Unlike traditional gels—water and carbohydrates mixed into syrups, often with added flavors and preservatives—Gel 160 is a biopolymer matrix that carries the carbohydrates smoothly to the intestine where water, salt and carbohydrates are absorbed. It is made with just 6 ingredients, with no added colors, preservatives or flavors, and can be taken without water. Box of 12 servings.

Ingredients:

Water, Glucose, Fructose, Calcium Carbonate, Gluconic Acid, Sodium Alginate.

(Vegan, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Soy-Free, Nut-Free; no added colors, preservatives or flavors)

Benefits:

40g Carbohydrates per Sachet: More energy per gel than Gel 100 (25g), so you can carry fewer sachets on long races and sessions where fueling opportunities are less frequent.
Hydrogel Technology: An already-formed hydrogel encapsulates the carbohydrates for smooth transportation into the intestine, and can be taken without water.
0.8:1 Fructose-to-Glucose Ratio: Enables uptake of more carbohydrates, the same proven ratio used across Maurten gels.
Clean, Simple Formula: Just 6 natural ingredients with no added colors, preservatives or flavors.

Usage Instructions:

Use Gel 160 as you would Gel 100 or other Maurten products. No water required.

Before Exercise: Take as a carbohydrate preload.
During Training and Racing: Take 2 per hour to easily reach 80g of carbohydrates per hour, and combine with other Maurten products to fine-tune your fueling strategy.
